Skiing Snoqualmie

On Saturday we took a drive up to the pass and
visited all the snow we have been hearing about.
Almost every night in January,
the Cascades were dumped with 3 or more feet of snow.
Holy cow, they weren't kidding.
The third floor window of this hotel is all you can see.So, we built a snowman. We drove over to Alpental (ski area just to the north of Snoqualmie).
It was a beautiful day.
Then we found a great place for Jonah to enjoy his skis.
Floyd had a great time too.
Lovely.
Papa and JonahI'd rather fall down and eat snow.
(Hope I don't get dehydrated...Papa)Snow angel of our angel.Just before the angel destroyed the snowman.

Valentine's Day

We spent this year hangin out with Grandma as she recuperates.
We baked some cookies and had a lovely dinner.

Pioneer Park

On a lovely Sunday afternoon we headed over to Mercer Island to explore Pioneer Park.
Look at the moss on this tree!Ferns growing out of the tree limb.
We found a very hardworking, hungry woodpecker.
He enjoyed our audience I think
cause he didn't flinch, even with floyd.
In a stump.
